Survival mode vs Strategic mode with Sindy Hankins
Thursday Apr 25, 2024
Thursday Apr 25, 2024
Hey there, lady bosses! In this episode, we’re diving into a topic that’s all too familiar for many of us: survival mode vs. strategic mode in business.
Picture this: You’re juggling a dozen tasks, putting out fires left and right, and just trying to keep your head above water. That, my friends, is survival mode. It’s that reactive state where you’re constantly in crisis management mode, and it can be exhausting.
But what if I told you there’s another way? Enter strategic mode. This is where you’re proactive, thinking ahead, and making intentional decisions for your business. It’s about stepping back, looking at the big picture, and charting a course for success.
So how do you make the shift from survival to strategic mode? It starts with mindset. Instead of reacting to every challenge that comes your way, start thinking like a chess player, anticipating your next move and thinking several steps ahead.
Next, prioritize ruthlessly. Focus on the tasks and projects that will move the needle for your business, and delegate or eliminate the rest. This is about working smarter, not harder.
And finally, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it’s hiring a coach, joining a mastermind, or outsourcing tasks, building a support network can make all the difference.
So, which mode are you operating in? If you’re stuck in survival mode, it’s time to make the shift to strategic mode. Your business—and your sanity—will thank you for it.

Plenty of Enneagrams with Ashley Michael
Thursday Apr 11, 2024
Thursday Apr 11, 2024
Hey ladies, welcome back to our podcast! Today, we're diving into a fascinating topic: how your Enneagram personality type can impact your business.
If you're not familiar, the Enneagram is a personality typing system that describes nine interconnected personality types. Each type has its own set of motivations, fears, and behaviors that can greatly influence how we approach our work and business ventures.
For example, Type Ones, known as "The Perfectionists," are driven by a desire to do things right and improve the world around them. In business, they might excel at creating high-quality products or services but might struggle with delegating tasks due to their high standards.
On the other hand, Type Threes, "The Achievers," are goal-oriented and driven by success. They can be great at networking and promoting their business but may need to be mindful of burnout due to their relentless pursuit of success.
Understanding your Enneagram type can give you valuable insights into your strengths and weaknesses as a business owner. It can help you identify areas where you excel and areas where you might need to seek support or make adjustments.
Additionally, knowing the Enneagram types of your team members or business partners can improve communication and collaboration. By understanding their motivations and communication styles, you can build a more cohesive and effective team.
So, whether you're a Type Two looking to balance your nurturing tendencies with self-care or a Type Five seeking to share your knowledge without withdrawing, the Enneagram can be a powerful tool for personal and professional growth in your business journey.
Thanks for tuning in, and remember, understanding yourself is the first step to building a successful business. See you next time!
